Our church is a charter member of the Upward Basketball / Cheerleading program. We are in our 10th year with the Upward program. Sign-ups start in October and practices start in November. We are currently in our basketball and cheerleading season. We have games from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm on Friday nights and 8:30 am to 1:30 pm on Saturdays through February. We will have our End of the Year Awards Ceremony on Monday night, February 23, 2009 to end our season.
The Upward program is a volunteer based program. We are so thankful to all our volunteers, which include prayer warriors, prayer commissioner, advertising commissioner, devotion commissioner, coaches, boys' commissioner, girls' commissioner, cheerleading commissioner, follow-up commissioner, concession stand coordinator, staff liason, league director and referees. As you can see, we couldn't do it without these volunteers.
